Understanding Wellbeing
Te Whare Tapa Whā Model
We embrace a holistic view of well-being, guided by the Māori health model, Te Whare Tapa Whā. This framework sees health as a balanced house with four interconnected walls:
Taha Tinana (physical health),
Taha Hinengaro (mental/emotional health),
Taha Whānau (social health), and
Taha Wairua (spiritual health).
Just as a house needs all four walls to be strong, our overall well-being relies on the balance of these dimensions. We encourage you to consider each of these aspects in your journey to wellness across all of the team at Betta.
